According to the Grant Thornton 2007 International Business Report, 74 % of medium and large businesses in the country are optimistic about the year ahead - making us the seventh most optimistic country after India, Philippines, Mainland China, Singapore, Ireland and the Netherlands.

That's despite concerns about crime and our next president.
